Okay, so I understand that this is my random life updates blog, but I’m running a short little experiment that may last for a couple days on vacuum cleaner reviews. So the question is does this place fair better, or rather does my vacuum cleaner reviews sites fair better when I write about vacuum cleaner reviews, or reviews in general? Or should I just stick on my random life updates topic and leave it at that? Does mingling random life updates and vacuum cleaners reviews screw with my ratings, or is it helpful, or does it do nothing? Eh, only time shall tell right? Generally speaking, whether you are talking about vacuum cleaners or random life updates the main thing that matters is the amount of work that you put into it. So after a 30 day blogging challenge where I reviewed hundreds of items, and did a lot of work getting the templates for my random life updates blog here ready for a long haul run… then never went the long haul… well it only makes sense to pop in occasionally with some random life updates news from time to time ya know? But that’s not really what today is about, for the most part today is about my vacuum cleaner comparison site that does decently well, but not as well as last year… so the goal is to regain the supremacy that I had on the vacuum cleaner rankings stuff again. So how does one do that? Well that is the question of the hour is it not? In general being so lack luster and spreading the same message over a wide birth of topics is not a great thing… but I am hoping that I can make this vacuum cleaner reviews topic long enough to make up for the indiscretions that may present themselves at times. I think that what I am missing may be much worse than just a few vacuum cleaner reviews, but rather a vacuum cleaner content lack… so we shall see. Onward and upward though, that is the random life updates way right? Or is that just the best vacuum cleaner ratings talking to me?
This is my place to put all my random reviews! With a 2 year old in the house it’s likely that I will get many years of experience in many different age groups of random! I’ve got some other big projects in the works right now, so the progress of additional random reviews will undoubtedly be quite slow for a while. Anyways, just popping in here to make sure that this random reviews blog ain’t forgotten yet! Maybe one day it will live out its life as I originally intended, but until then we’re gonna be random reviewers Besides don’t really have the time to code a new site, so random reviews it is.
Okay, so I went my full 30 days, and even a little more. By the end of it I was updating 9 blogs a day too! Pretty crazy… but I gotta end the blogging experiment here… It’s taking way too much of my time, and I really need to get the Bible animated site working. This is officially saying good bye to the blogging challenge… for now. Next year I’d like to do a 90 day blogging challenge for the last quarter of the year where I do keep up to date with all 9 of the blogs I was rolling with this time! The amount of linking that would happen might just blow even my mind The results of this 30 day challenge were nice, but nothing mind blowing. I made a few hundred dollars, and that’s good for now, it’ll get me where I need to be.
Okay, got a LOT done today! But when it comes to blogging… yeah, don’t plan to get a whole lot done in that arena So I did get all the blogrolls updated! That’s always good And we did get Connor to the play place for a little over an hour of playing, running, sliding, and social interaction with other small chillens… For blogging though… wow I really don’t want to write 9 posts today! Didn’t get anything done last night, so I’ve got all 9 for today. Does seem more than a little bit excessive at the moment, but I think I can get through it! I do not plan on putting amazon links in every post, that will speed up my writing, and the ones that I get stuck on I will find some amazon products to sell that will help me keep the creative juices flowing
Okay, so this should be rather obvious… but 9 websites per day is a LOT to keep up with! It pretty well fries your brain by the end of the day too. This is now going on the third day of it… it’s a lot right now, but I have a feeling that after 2 or 3 weeks of this I’ll be pretty used to it and it’ll just come out habitually. I’m thinking that the results will be great, but the effort to go in is a lot for very little so far… Once I get all the sites interlinked and 3 months down the road we’ll see how this has done for us I also need to try and get some work done on other projects ya know…
Definitely gonna have to revert to CakePHP 1.3.x for TheBibleAnimated I just don’t have the time to learn the new CakePHP v2.0.x system right now. Especially now that I’m doing a 90 day blogging challenge with 9 websites! Oh, this is gonna be nuts man! The link quality, especially with tags and categories is going to be even more insane. Of course at some point I’ll have to learn it, but that time just isn’t now. If I’m going to actually get the site built, and in a decent time frame… well sticking to what I know is the only way The blogging challenge is important, especially keeping the flow of information that I’ve got going, and the momentum I’ve got with blogging… yeah, sticking with the older CakePHP is the only way I can go.
ALLLRRIGHTY… So… I downloaded a few WP Themes… I added a whole lotta links to all of my WP blogs w/ PR. Sort of a massive interlinking campaign… or test… Problem is I was using the default template on most of the sites, so just adding them to the blogroll meant they only showed up on the home page… I also want to keep going on PPP and advertisers are less likely to pay someone 10 times over… so I wanted unique templates!!!
Okay… so WordPress themes site is freakin’ dead… or just slow as crap… it was annoying me, and you sort through a whole crap load of VERY bad templates… many that don’t help and give you links all over the blog…
Finally found a site that does provide great templates for free! Ok, so they’ve got some levitrol and other crap links that you DO NOT want on your site in the footer… no problem right?
JS encrypted?
Worse…
See JS encrypted you could just delete it!
modern WP templates require just before the
tag or wp won’t load
They figured out a way to get wp_footer() to echo out their links!!!
Worse yet… they quadruple encrypted the information mangled with required files between 3 template files… Got one template fixed and uploaded to a site… only 5 more to go
Oh, and it gets even more fun! Or rather engenius, didn’t make it any harder to decode… but they were drawing the link information from their site, so they could change the links on literally hundreds of sites all at once! I imagine that the links are sponsored links helping them pay for their coding.
OH SHIT!!!!!!! Just found some more encrypted information… They’ve got a tracking image, and a kill switch for your blog!!! If you install the template, they can check out your site, after checking out your site if you’ve figured out how to remove the links, but don’t remove the encoded kill switch they can click a button on their sites that shuts down yours!!!
These guys are maniacle genius bastards!!!
Actually kinda glad I didn’t use the WP theme depository (heck coulda run into the same thing anyways)
A lot of men, including myself, often will claim that they prefer a woman without make up. I’ve said it for years, the natural look is just more beautiful, why mess with what God crafted with his own hands? At least that was my thoughts before a few weeks ago. My wife came home looking absolutely radiant. I couldn’t figure it out, she always wears make up, and she is always beautiful… but this day she was glowing. At first I thought she was not wearing any Make Up, after spending some time with her I found that she was wearing makeup but had found some Cosmetics Tips online that helped her to blend and highlight in a way she had never done before. With the right Make Up Tutorials she was able to amaze me after 3 years of marriage she came in more radiant than I have ever seen her.
Lol.. well, I didn’t quite get the stuff coded that I wanted to… which ironically also made me miss out on posting today. I gave myself yesterday, and didn’t get much done. Taking Rose to work really cuts a LOT out of my day. I gave myself a day, and missed blogging… eh… oh well, it’s still technically “today” so blogging now isn’t so bad… but with the screwed up time on my server this would post as tomorrow, except I’ve changed that because cheating is okay some times Gonna have to actually do my blogging tomorrow… my brain is so fried right now… I tried updating to CakePHP v2.0.3 for my coding project, but that turned out pretty disastrous! Okay, so I wasn’t far along, basically just had a few things baked right? So it was the perfect time to upgrade… or so I thought… Baking with CakePHP v2.0.3 is a pain! I am not able to do anything! I open up bake, and all it does is give me errors, errors about not having a database file (which I do have) then I put in all the information and it gives me errors saying that the database template file something or other is missing… I tried searching for answers but found no one with the same problems I’m having… I might give it another go tomorrow… but I might just let it go and go back to CakePHP v1.3.12 at least I’ve got a working site… and it might make more sense as there isn’t as much documentation for v2.x.x yet… I will probably just go back to v1.3.12 or whatever the latest 1.3.x is
