Well, I accidentally skipped an update yesterday… I meant to throw one in their at night… but the power rangers foiled my plans! Okay, Connor begging to watch the the power rangers ruined my chances to get it done… I’ve got an interesting experiment to make up for it though. Instead of restarting the whole 90 day blogging challenge I think I’m going to put in an update an hour for 24 hours… of course that will be after our AC is fixed, and after I stop feeling like poo! Somehow I caught an aweful cold. I think Connor picked it up from the slides at McDonald’s and I got the worst of it since the next day I was outside in the heat working on the car all day. I think the heat and my body creating just enough heat incubated it and made it worse. Hopefully that means I only get a day or two of this But that’s probably just wishful thinking. Okay, so the update an hour plan is in concert with my goal to gain more traffic to the sites of course, Google likes “fresh” sites, recently updated and they have gotten into the habit of not keeping older indexes. I know they’re not going to crawl the site every hour, my site isn’t popular enough for them to, so I may hit a sweet spot with four to six updates a day… maybe if I went more intensely and updated all of my blogs four times a day I could get a better positive result… we’ll see, this is a good time for experimenting
Okay, so we’re supposed to head to the bank today to see about getting a loan to get the AC fixed!!! But the wife is being very slow and grumpy getting up… so I’m gonna take this time to drop a short update here! This is my most important blog, and updates continually are necessary for life! Or uh… well… they’re necessary for something. Last night I was feeling lazy after watching Battleship with the wife so I didn’t write anything. I think Battleship was a little bit underrated, but I loved it! Would have even seen it in theatres, it just had a lot of competition of great movies I think… not to mention we don’t get to the movies all that often with the little one who needs someone to constantly watch his every movement! Destroyer of worlds he is… Anyways, so after watching it I just wanted to go to bed! And we’re gonna get our air fixed… probably in a few days, not like we could have a new unit installed today…
I need to get one of these reviewy things done… well links to Got a review done earlier today, now its time to get some more links up. This is from a few days ago but I reviewed the Shark Navigator Professional Lift-Away which of course doesn’t hold a candle to an actual commercial machine like the Sanitaire, but does well enough as a residential machine. Certainly better than the Shark Navigator Lift-Away vacuum cleaner that is supposed to be the residential version of this vacuum cleaner. Several of the major problems about the Shark Navigator Lift-Away have been fixed with the Professional edition. It also has a much larger dirt cup, 66% larger than the residential model. That’s a pretty good increase if you ask me, but what do I know about vacuum cleaner reviews, I’ve only written 62 of them
Okay, well it is going to be HOT tomorrow… so I will most likely not update anything. Even if the computer does run during the day the length that it runs will be short, and I’m shutting down the router just to keep anything from producing heat! I’m going to bed as soon as possible since we spent the day helping my mother move I’m exhausted! I am also feeling a little better about the code work, so I may soon be abandoning the Vacuum Cleaner Reviews in favor of writing code. I’d love to get a working site up for Animation Coalition by the end of this year. I’ll have to organize my thoughts, but as I suspected, and hoped writing every day, keeping up with multiple blogs and keeping consistent with it has allowed me to get the base I need of working every day, even if it is just a little bit. A little bit here and there is what whittles these projects down.
I will not likely update any of my sites tonight, other than this site. And the only reason I’m updating this one is to let you know that there will be no updates! I’m not even worried about adding a vacuum review at the moment… Eh, still wondering if it is possible to make more than I am from that without spending money, then there’s the game of when and where do I spend the money to get a decent return on investment. Do I buy vacuum cleaners and do video reviews? That would give me incoming links from YouTube, and Vimeo. Do I open up a blogger.com Blog to do basically what I’m doing with my other sites, but more directly related? Do I buy AdWords that send people to my site? Do I create a new site and 301 redirect to it to clean the slate? I wish I had $5,000 to do all of the above… Video review, utilize more free resources, PPC campaigns. I know the site has potential somewhere… the question is where? And what will it cost of me? I’ve got a bit of free time… not all the time in the world anymore with Connor in need of attention and what not. But I’ve still got more free time than the average bear, so what should I be doing with it?
Luckily it is cooler this weekend… and we may be lucky enough that the HOA will have to pay for it… It’s a “limited common element” whatever the hell that means, they’re not very good at defining exactly what they will fix and what they won’t. So we’ll see… otherwise I think we’ll have to ride the rest of the warm season out with a window unit (HOA restricts you to only one) and figure out what we’re gonna do with the HVAC come spring. Hopefully the HOA is obligated to fix it, but you never know… they’re kinda worthless sometimes.
In other news, I am way behind adding reviews on here. So let me tell you about the Dyson DC40 Multi Floor Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review that I completed a few days ago! Pretty sweet eh? Yeah, I thought so. It’s sort of a bigger badder version of the Dyson DC33 but don’t think that there’s a whole lot other than maybe a little larger dirt cup that makes it awesome.
Well it’s still 80 in here… and I am not able to fall asleep! It might get better here in a bit once I put a lil food in mah tummy. But I figured I’d get todays post done now. I got posts for today done on all the other blogs, yesterday was sort of an off day I guess… didn’t want it to be, but with the AC out, there wasn’t much choice. Gotta get in contact with someone tomorrow to see about getting it fixed… and that has me a little bit stressed out as well. I know that I’m not the one who really pays for it… the wife does… she earns all the money in the house… which is bothering me a bit too… I wish I could get a job and contribute, but with her not being able to drive, and holding odd shifts it makes a job for me at this very moment impossible. Well other that working on the web, and that’s not doing a whole lot right now. I gotta get this momentum that I’ve recently created building… and then keep it going. If I can get my sites up to making $200 a week I’ll be a fairly happy camper. Then I could help the wife pay off the car, and once that is paid for then we’ll be much more comfortable. Then I can start paying for some home improvements around here and making the place more efficient. And getting a garden going off the back patio that will allow us to further save money on feeding ourselves each year, as well as adding to our over all health. Ugh… so much… and all so expensive! Hopefully this momentum keeps moving and I can contribute at some point… that’s the dream I guess.
Okay, well it seems I won’t be getting much of anything done today. The AC died at the end of day yesterday… and it’s supposed to be 94° F today. The wife works tonight, and we definitely can’t afford anything right now… so we’ll have to open a line of credit, which is impossible for myself because I have 0 credit history. The wife will have to be around to do that. Sometimes I wish I had a “real” job… I guess it’s a little motivating to keep moving on the blogging challenge, or step it up a notch or two. I guess I won’t be doing much today… but tonight when it cools off I may have to spend the night blogging my little heart out! Gonna turn off the comp ASAP to save on energy, and quit adding heat to the house… of course the wife started the dryer. So there may be no hope at all for us. I got several bags of ice, and put them in the room with the wife and the fan on a stainless steel thing with the fan… that should keep her room cooler than the rest, but Connor and I probably won’t be sticking around the house for much longer… I need to get in another vacuum cleaner review, and link to everything yet again, things seem to be working well when I do so.
So I pulled up to this stop light the other day, it was a little cooler out than it has been so I had my windows down. A guy in a VW Jetta TDI was already at the light, with his windows down too. I come to a stop and he looks over at me to say “Hey man, your breaks and squealing, you should probably have them looked at.” Laughing a little to myself I say back “Hey man, your engine is knocking, you probably should change the oil.” He quickly replies “It’s a diesel.” I just say “I know… they’re ceramic/kevlar pads” he looked very confused… not sure he understands that ceramic pads have a heavy hiss to them their entire lives, well unless they’re hot then they quiet down. Moral of the story… if you don’t know anything about cars, don’t give others advice about their cars. I knew a lot of kids in highschool who were quick to give out advice to you about your car… most of them quickly learned to not do it when I was around unless they wanted to sound like idiots.
Well I finally got around to reviewing the top rated vacuum cleaner of 2012. The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Vacuum Cleaner Review wins title as the top rated vacuum cleaner of the year. But is it worth the price? Is it really the best, or just a marketing ploy? Read my review of the Shark Navigator Lift-Away and decide for yourself. Of course the review is my opinion, you should decide for yourself as to whether or not it is the top notch vacuum cleaner it is claimed to be.
